Transferring to City of Brisbane Pistol Club

So you are considering transferring your membership to City of Brisbane Pistol Club? Super!

If you currently live in Queensland and hold a Queensland category H licence

You will need the following documents to support your membership application:

  • Your QLD Concealable Firearms Licence (cat H)
  • A letter from your current club stating that you are a current financial member
  • Your participation recording showing attendances for the past 12 months
  • Two character references. Character references from family members are not accepted

Once you have collected all the documents, visit the “How to Join” page to start your application!

Please note: We require evidence from your existing club for Range Operator and Holster proficiency.

If you are moving to Queensland (from interstate or overseas)

Queensland Police Service (QPS) maintains the most up to date information for licensees moving from interstate or overseas. Visit the QPS website for more details.

Please note: Subject to changes by QPS; you have seven (7) days from the time you take up permanent residency in Queensland to apply for a Queensland Category H licence with your interstate or overseas licence.

If you are transferring, but do not hold a current category H licence

You will need to apply through the standard new member process.

Please note: You will need to restart your six months probationary period if you transfer before obtaining your category H licence.
